We’re identical twin brothers who work together. No, we don’t have a secret language, but we can finish each other’s sentences, which makes for a pretty great partnership.
We grew up in Southern California with a well-known interior designer dad, and a mom with exceptional taste. Our house was frequently a favorite of magazine editors. But it was also a house, that as kids, we were very much encouraged to live and play in. In other words, it was beautifully designed, but it was also cozy and comfortable. One thing we both remember was that there were pillows everywhere. Our dad understood that precise positioning and upright fullness of a pillow, or as we called it, “the karate chop” that formed perky pillow ears and a full pillow belly, made a room feel warm and welcoming.
Nobody was surprised when we graduated from college and went into the home furnishings industry. With years of experience in luxury bedding and American classic bedroom furniture, textiles and manufacturing, we remembered the impact of our dad’s secret design weapon and decided to turn our attention to pillows.
And boom, thepillowcollection.com was born.
While we believe a pillow can make the room, just like our dad did, we don’t believe a quality pillow has to cost a lot, and we’re out to prove it.
We personally select all of our fabrics, in order to offer as broad a selection as we possibly can (because who doesn’t love options). So, you get your choice of linen, cotton, damask, or silk, in hundreds of colors and patterns that will blow your other pillows off the couch.
And we don’t cut corners in our production process either, which includes hand cutting, overlocking on all material edges, full-length, hidden zippers and the finest in either high-polyester fiber or down blended inserts. We can even provide custom add-ons, like ¼ inch piping.
So, how do we do it?
By having no middlemen and stocking all of our materials in-house, that’s how. It’s that simple. We can give you big savings, not to mention, quick shipping (within 2-4 days) on the kind of pillows that cost twice as much elsewhere, because we do it all ourselves.
That’s our story. We hope you’ll become part of it.
